All of the applications for the ipad can also be used for iPhones and Ipods. Having all of my students with Ipads in the classroom would be very beneficial. Using the Ipad in the classroom helps with motivating the students, because they are doing work online rather than on paper. Also submitted things online on the ipad lowers the expense of materials.I can see myself as a future teacher using this in my classroom with my students. In research project we can all use different apps to find what we are looking for. also it would be a great way for students to quiz themselves and submitted online rather paper. I would like to use this tool to emphasis on conservation. According to the article above the ipad gives motivation to the students by keeping them focused and entertain while learning. its also a great way to record video and share with them via a blog. there are various ways on using the Ipad.

Why IPADS in Education?
You went all out! Your first link in great. I love how it says, "The iPads have revolutionized teaching." I completely agree with the use of tablets and/or iPads in the education setting. The applications seem endless. I never thought of using the technology for "quizzing" but in this concept alone there are so many possibilities! Vocabulary, flashcards, memory games, crosswords, practice quizzes, student collaboration and discussion are only a few tools that can be used.
ReplyDeleteI am being drawn to the concept of using technology for communication. I have always given technology the stigma of being antisocial, discouraging. However, I am beginning to realize that technology is exactly the opposite. Technology is very interactive and it can be applied in the classroom for students to communicate and participate in inquiry and project based learning.
